Craigslist deal of the week...

We were recently able to sell our tiny tikes gazebo for 50$, in return this HUGE play set cost us only 50$ from a rich person on craigslist....what a steal! In essence, we paid nothing for this...the girls LOVE it.

Splish Splash

...the girls are afraid of the Splash Park.  We knew Felicity would be a bit timid because she's more of a girly girl but Lydia was actually the one who didn't want anything to do with the water.  She did warm up after...oh an hour or so but wasn't overly enthusiastic about the Splash Park.  Maybe next time we'll have to bring friends to give them a little confidence to actually go in the water!

I guess they like the finer things in life....

Too early for Halloween?

I couldn't resist this costume from Disney Shopping Outlet...the price was great ($9.99), it's girly, and we can use it for dress-up when we are through with it.

Felicity likes it too!

A visit to the Capital Building

One of the major perks of Grampy Beckman is his job. Grampy is the grounds supervisor at the Wisconsin State Capitol and has all the keys to the castle. Today, myself (dad) and the girls went to visit Grampy for lunch on the Capital lawn...and when your Grampy's granddaughters, you get Rockstar parking...1 hour in the 20 min loading zone right on the steps of the Governor's office! Below are some of the pics from the visit and the behind the scenes tour only Grampy can give. Oh, and the board room pictures were taken in the Hearing Room. Felicity in 2050...I can already see the slogan.

Congress Woman Felicity is on the job.

"Objection! I do NOT have a dirty diaper."

Secretary of State for Jim Doyle?

Dancin' on the Rotunda.

Happy to see Grampy.

Cow Girls

Felicity up close and personal with the cow called "Elmo". She actually hand fed the cow which was a first for her. She ran away quickly afterwards though.

Lydia saying "Cheese...comes from Cooooowwwws"

Felicity with hair and all.
And of course, before we leave we have to help shut the gate.

Oh, and this pic is blurry but she looks like her grandma Crowe as a kid an awful lot in this picture.

The best part of summer....

A day at the beach!

The weather this week has been beautiful so we thought it would be a good day to take the girls to the beach on Friday.  We went to Governor Dodge and this time we went to Twin Valley Beach which was very nice and quiet and empty!  We met up with our friends Blair and Alexander (wished Jen could have been there too) and had a great time.  Ok...Lydia enjoyed herself but Felicity doesn't like to get dirty.  She kept telling me she was just going to lay down because "I don't want to shower mommy."  She knows that getting sandy means getting a shower!  Definitely our girly girl!!
